September means School? 2017

Dear Everyone,

It’s a long time since most of us raced around a playground, or struggled through maths equations, but the onset of September still seems to bring a sense of going back to school. Even if school now means an office, a laptop, voluntary work, or really does mean dropping off the kids at the gates every morning.

Like any change of routine, this can bring a sense of excitement for some, but anxiety or weariness for others.

Thankfully, yoga’s combination of breathing practices, physical postures and relaxation offers a way of balancing out these emotions so we can approach the new ‘term’ with greater confidence and ease. Classes in September will all revolve around this theme as we energise our core, strengthen and open our hips and shoulders, and focus on alignment in our standing poses.

We will have time to delve deeper into these practices during the late Autumn ‘flow and restore’ workshop on Sunday 12th November. This session will start with some energising breath work and a dynamic sequence of postures to re-vitalise and warm the body, before restorative yoga and a yoga nidra to soothe the nervous system.

The workshop will end with tea, homemade cake, and friendly conversation! Please click here or email me for more information or to book your space.

Looking forward to seeing you at class soon,

Caroline
