Aside from the very mild weather and wonderful colours, this Autumn has filled me with lots of inspiration for our classes together over the next few months.
In October, I was lucky enough to spend time at the London Yoga show, developing my practise with a number of new ideas and techniques (including face yoga (!)), and have also been able to spend time practising in Birmingham and North West Wales where I was reminded of the importance of a focal point, or drishti, in all asana (posture) practise.
And whilst I can’t promise that every class from now on will lead to a perfect complexion, I will be weaving a few of the most beneficial techniques and concepts I have learnt recently into classes going forward.
Regulars will know that during October we focused on building strength and stability in the core, opening and releasing the hips and working towards ardha chandrasana, half-moon pose – a wonderfully energising and expansive posture that works the whole body.
As we move into the hectic Christmas season we will cool down and develop more of an internal focus with some more grounding poses and forward bends.
And with Christmas in mind I am offering a 30% discount on private classes booked between now and the end of the year – so if you fancy a class as Christmas present for someone – or for yourself – then do get in touch!*
Have a great month!
