Only 12 days to go until the winter solstice and the daylight is shrinking fast. Many of us are feeling more tired than usual and could do with some extra energy to face the dark and cold early mornings. If this applies to you, how about taking at least 10 deep and even breaths into your belly, breathing in and out of your nose, before you start the day. You should find it gives you the little extra boost you need.
If this sounds a bit light touch and you need something more to restore your normal vigour, then please do come along to the special Christmas Yoga class on Thursday 15th December at 5.30 in Primrose Hill. We will be flowing through some Christmas themed poses to restore balance to all parts of the body – especially the shoulders, upper back, hips and hamstrings – before a long well-earned relaxation.
Looking ahead to 2017, I am pleased to invite you all to the next Primrose Hill yoga workshop, ‘Making Space for Spring’. On Sunday 2nd April I will lead a long, flowing practice designed to create space throughout the whole body. We will release the spine, open the shoulders, free up the hips, expand the breath and create clarity in the mind before enjoying a nourishing relaxation and tasting some yummy, healthy treats.
