Yesterday was “A” level results day and I happened to be listening to “Thought for the Day” on Radio 4, with Professor Mona Siddiqui, worth a listen if you have a spare 2 minutes and 49 seconds J I will be weaving some of her wisdom “Even when things seem at their lowest, when we feel most vulnerable, how we pick ourselves up and find the courage to move on is what it means to grow….” into yoga classes over the next few weeks, especially when we explore moving into more challenging poses, balances, and positions in which it is harder to breathe.
Those of you who are regulars will know that each week we always work to mobilise and strengthen the whole body, within a particular theme. Over the last month we have worked to release neck and shoulder tension, breathe more freely and fully, and to mobilise and strengthen all the key joints in the body. Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on how we use our feet and legs in standing postures and developing our sun salutation sequences together with some backbending and twisting.
Please note there will be no classes during the week of 24th August. A reminder of my public class schedule is below. Primrose Hill Tuesday yoga restarts on September 8th.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, and meanwhile enjoy the end of National Afternoon Tea week (!) Caroline
